Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–26 week contracts accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric general Medical-Surgical patients within a unit maintaining a daily census of approximately 43 patients at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform and manage specialized procedures including Heparin Drips, Wound Vac Dressing Changes, High Flow Oxygen, and limited short-term BiPAP with respiratory support
• Document and communicate using EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR methodology
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding as needed
• Work every other weekend as assigned and must be available to work holidays
• Serve as an assigned member of the facility's Inclement Weather Team, Storm Team, and/or Hurricane Team; contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available to work holidays and care for COVID-positive patients as needed
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply; a lower rate applies for local candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience (preferred for night shift travelers)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
